A single event can change a person's future. In December 2003, as I was visiting my family during my last year of law school, I was on the road just north of Canton, Mississippi. I saw the driver in front of me swerve, and before I knew it, I wound up in the median after my truck flipped over four times, narrowly avoiding a deer. I wasn't injured, but my truck was destroyed. When I called my insurance company to receive the compensation I deserved, the adjuster kept lowballing me. My frustration grew. From that moment, I decided that no one else should have to go through what I was going through. No one should have to face a personal injury or car accident alone.
